Baltimore, Md. (February 5, 2019)— Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will serve as the title sponsor for the 2019 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Game of the Week and offer free live streaming of the nation’s top conference for high school boys lacrosse. To expand the FCA MIAA Game of the Week’s streaming and viewership reach CSE has partnered with Baltimore’s NBC affiliate, WBAL TV, as well as the sport’s premiere media company, Inside Lacrosse.

“We are extremely excited to join forces with the MIAA and CSE to bring thousands of lacrosse fans across the country, and even internationally, the best high school lacrosse in the world,” commented Ryan Horanburg, FCA Lacrosse Director.  “As the game of lacrosse continues to expand, we have been blessed to watch where God is at work and join Him. Our focus of ministering to lacrosse players and coaches is transforming lives, families, and the culture of this sport we all love.”

“The players and coaches are ready for another exciting season of MIAA Lacrosse,” commented Lee Dove, MIAA Executive Director. “The multi-platform presentation planned for weekly MIAA games is unprecedented for high school lacrosse. We greatly appreciate the efforts of our partners at Corrigan Sports, WBAL-TV and Inside Lacrosse to create this unique opportunity for our member schools. We invite MIAA students, parents, alumni and fans to join us throughout the season.”

Baltimore area lacrosse fans can also watch the games on television for the first time in 2019 as WBAL TV will air the regular season, A Conference semi-finals and championship on its digital subchannel MeTV.

“I am excited about WBAL-TV’s opportunity to bring MIAA Lacrosse to MeTV Baltimore,” commented Dan Joerres, President and General Manager of WBAL-TV.

Joerres added, “Lacrosse is a dominant sport in our region and one of the fastest growing across the country.  Showcasing high school lacrosse is an excellent opportunity to expand our local programming on MeTV Baltimore.”

In addition to streaming on the MIAA’s and CSE TV’s respective social media channels, fans will also be able to watch the live stream on insidelacrosse.com and its social media channels. Inside Lacrosse staff will occasionally join the broadcast throughout the season to provide additional expert analysis and talk about the MIAA’s elite players’ collegiate plans.

Terry Foy, publisher of Inside Lacrosse, said, “Inside Lacrosse is thrilled to be a part of the MIAA Game of the Week. Our relationship with one of the country’s best high school lacrosse conferences is long and rich, and it’s a perfect fit to partner with CSE TV to broaden the reach of these exciting games.”

Foy continued, “With our Under Armour National and Regional Rankings, IL’s commitment to high school lacrosse has led the market for decades. New to 2019, however, is our national boys and girls high school scoreboard. With all of that and the MIAA Game of the Week, it’s clear that we’re believers in high school lacrosse in Maryland and all over the country, and these game broadcasts are a pillar of that commitment.”

The dynamic and entertaining team of play-by-play personality Booker Corrigan with analyst and MIAA coaching legend Bob Shriver will once again handle broadcast duties. Corrigan said, “The depth of top-ranked teams and elite players in the MIAA is unmatched across the country. There are no ‘easy games’ in a MIAA schedule because every game is a rivalry,” said Corrigan.

The Game of the Week schedule launches under the glare of Friday night lights as two-time defending MIAA champion Calvert Hall hosts Boys’ Latin on March 29. The Cardinals seek to become the first team in MIAA A Conference history to win the championship three consecutive years.
